Mark your calendars for the Blount County Amateur Radio Club's 2024 Freezefest! The event will take place on
Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 8AM to noon at the Locust Fork High School located at 77 School Road (@ Hwy 79) in Locust Fork, Alabama 35079.
Admission is $5.00. Vendor/dealer setup is at 7AM, doors open to the public at 8AM. Tables and Bone Yard are free! Raffle tickets will be on sale to win hourly door prizes and a Grand Prize (Yaesu FT-710 Field HF/50MHz 100W SDR Transceiver). Other prize: a Yaesu FTM-200D Dual Band Digital Transceiver. Tickets are $1 each, $10 for 12 tickets, and $20 for 25 tickets. Click here to see the ticket price schedule. Volunteer Examiners will conduct license testing at 10AM. We will test anyone that asks for a test at sign-in or any time before 10AM. The ARRL fee for testing is $15.00. Please contact Jerry, WB4OWC, VE Liaison, prior to Freezefest to schedule your test and get any additional requirements. Please join us for what is always a good time for deals and fellowship. As always, the BCARC appreciates any donations to help us maintain our VHF repeater (146.700, - offset with 91.5 tone) and UHF repeater (443.775). Please join us on the BCARC open net every Sunday night at 8PM. |
